I have been a professional artist since 1998 specialising in bronze sculpture. My portraiture work is figurative and captures the look and character of the subject. I have exhibited widely in the UK and have undertaken numerous commissions. My work can be found in several public and private collections.
I usually model my sculptures in clay but occasionally in plaster, working from photographs and drawings of the subject. If it is possible, I like to have one or more life sittings with the subject as this injects more spontaneity into the final sculpture. The bronze sculpture is then made by the
'lost wax' process.
My sculpture commissions have ranged from 8 inchs high to life size figures and have included adults, children, cattle and dogs.
